Casona de Baró (A rural stay muy quality) |

This old noble house is typical of the
area and built in the 1800, it is located in the small village
of Baró, which gives the name to the valley
of Valdebaró.
This little village is situated in the
municipality of Camaleño, underneath the
Europe Mountains, in an enormous natural environment full of richness.
The guests of La Casona can enjoy the views of the outstanding
landscape.
A meticulous work of rehabilitation has
restored La Casona with the same material originally used. The
guest house maintains the appearance that it had in the past,
due to the structure of the building and also the roof with its
wooden beams.

The Casona has eleven double rooms and
is arranged in such a way that on the ground level, there is a
spacious living room with a fireplace, two restrooms, the reception
and a natural wine cellar, where the breakfast is served.
On the first floor, there are three rooms.
On the second and largest floor, there are five double-rooms,
three of them have a private balcony were you can contemplate
a mangnificent view. Lastly, the third floor is a complete attic
and two of these rooms, have confortable living rooms.
All the rooms of the posada are prepare
with a complete bathroom, TV, telephone and piped music. There
is the possibility in eight of the rooms to put in an additional
bed. The old stable has been restored and converted into an independent
apartment, with a living room, which has a sofa -pullout bed and
a kitchen on the ground floor. The bedroom with a bathroom is
on the second floor. It has a private garage, too.
Visitors can enjoy the different and confortable
environments of the living rooms of La Casona, the chimney during
the winter, reading, T.V., table-games and the views of this peaceful
area. Every room is unique, different and special.

The old charm of the house provided to
the guests, maximum confort along with good service, will make
your stay unforgettable.
Apart from relaxing with such a natural
beauty of the valley, you also have the possibility to enjoy mountain
activities. The gastronomy of the region is worth tasting. There
are many places to visit and monuments of historic interest.

Special attention has been taken so your
stay is most confortable as posible. Each room has a charming
style, decorated in a different way, to provide your confort.
The rooms have a complete bathroom, television, telephone and
piped music.
And double apartment (401)
completely equipped (kitchen vitro-ceramic, extractor, oven, microwave,
washing machine, freezer, toaster, coffee pot, a complete diner
service, etc.). On the ground floor there is a sofa-bed (sleeps
2), possibility of adding bed. On the second floor, there is a
bathroom and double bed (1,35 cm). Views to the Valley, Sierra
de Peñasagra and to the Village of Baró.

| You
can arrive to Liébana by three different routes: the
port of San Glorio (1609 m) from Leon, the port
of Piedrasluegas (1313 m) from Palencia and, from the north,
following the cost from Unquera and Panes, crossing the sensational
narrow mountain pass of the Hermida.
From
the Castilian tableland you have to take the C-627 road, that comes
from Palencia, and also the N-621 from León.
To arrive
into Liébana from the north you need to take the N-621 road,
which starts in Unquera, passing through 22 km
parallel to the river Deva, offering an attractive landscape announcing
progressively the graciousness of the Europe mountains,
the final destiny.
From the
town of La Hermida the road passes through a narrow
path: the narrow mountain pass or the neck of la Hermida, with chalky
rocks whose main walls are almost vertically reaching 600 metres
in height.
These paths lead into the village of Potes, capital
of the Lebaniega region. Coming up from the C-621 road, which joins
Potes with Fuente Dé, at the 5th. kilometer
on the left, you discover Baró.
To access into Baró, you should turn off
at the second indication which indicates Baró,
Bodia.
